In particular, read the book Responsive Web Design, by Ethan Marcotte. This is an great extension of his influential Fluid Grids article from It really was a revolutionary document when it came out a few years ago.

Marcotte set up site to demonstrate the examples in his book: robot or not?

Use the application Site Sucker (it’s in the Langara A247 lab) to download all the files from the site.

Then go through the book and build it as you go—using the images you downloaded with Site Sucker.

You will not regret the time you spend.
